Kosmos organizes and facilitates short-term missions to serve the poor and underprivileged of Nicaragua. Please see our about page to learn more.
Over the past year, Kosmos has led numerous teams to Nicaragua and distributed approximately 8,000 pounds of food to around 400 families in the extremely impoverished communities of San Benito and Cristo Rey. Hundreds of New Testaments have been personally distributed and the Gospel has been shared with those in need (shared in both word and deed). We strive to meet practical and spiritual needs at the same time, never neglecting one or the other. It is a blessing to join God in His work in Central America. The people there still need food and still need light to break through the darkness in which they live. Pleas join us in our efforts!
2012 has seen some amazing opportunities. In addition to our food distributions, our water well is running strong, providing drinking water to a community of 280 families! God has indeed blessed all involved to bring each project into a reality!
In 2013, we will continue our food and Bible Distributions as well as phase 2 of our well water project! Look for some church construction trips in the summer as well!

We would like you to meet this young boy. His name is Osbaldo and he is from Tipitapa, Nicaragua. We met him in August of 2008 while working with a local church, Cristo Nuestra Roca (Christ Our Rock). Osbaldo lived in an impoverished area of the city. His mother was a single parent who struggled to feed Osbaldo and his brothers and sisters. You wouldn't know it, however, from his smile. Osbaldo was sent away in 2009 to live with other family members due to the extremely poor conditions. We have not seen him since then. Like many children in Nicaragua, they bounce from family to family, town to town, with little or no consistency in their lives.
